Rachel Walker is renowned for her beautiful watercolour and pen and ink artworks that draw on her awe of New Zealand’s beautiful nature, in particular our native birds and bush.  Her drippy, energetic style is both loose in form and precisely detailed, capturing the attitude and beauty of our birds, sea creatures and reptiles.  Born and raised in the beautiful seaside town of Napier, Rachel trained at Massey University in Wellington after which she has developed her own unique style and her successful career to date has included many solo gallery exhibitions, creating art for conservation organizations such as Forest and Bird, collectible postage stamps, collaborations with interior designers for commercial fit-outs, album covers, beverage labels, and a stint living and painting in rural France.
